DIGITAL LIBERATION

A SHORT PHYSICAL BOOK

Digital
Liberation

A key back to the real world.

What happens when the digital world becomes more stimulating than reality itself?

Digital Liberation: An Escape from Escapism is a short, practical exploration of how modern digital entertainment can reshape our relationship with everyday life.

Beginning with a personal account of gaming addiction during the author’s developing years, the book moves into a wider examination of how platforms such as YouTube, Netflix and other forms of video streaming can affect cognitive health.

It then explores a deeper problem: the digital world is not simply a collection of tools. It has become a highly stimulating reality of its own—one that can make ordinary life feel comparatively slow, quiet and unrewarding.

But this book is not a call to reject technology.

It is about regaining control.

The final section provides a practical toolkit designed to help readers reduce their dependence on digital stimulation, reconnect with ordinary pleasures, and gradually make the real world feel rewarding again.

Concise and deliberately accessible, Digital Liberation is for anyone who has ever opened an app for a few minutes and lost an hour, struggled to enjoy slower activities, or wondered why stepping away from a screen can sometimes feel harder than it should.

The goal is simple:

An escape from escapism.

IBRAHIM HASHLAMON

01

The book is the key.

This is deliberately a physical book. Its purpose is not to give you another screen, another feed, or another digital environment to inhabit.

It is meant to be held, closed, put down — and then followed by something real.

About the author

Portrait of Ibrahim Hashlamon

Ibrahim Hashlamon has many traits he is proud of though the only thing that really matters to you is that.. Is that he is happy living in the real world. Getting up and going to get it isn’t something that was possible when he was entrenched in a cycle of video consumption but today he is a real character. Not because he has any special accolades but because he chose to put aside the comforting stimulation of videos; because he decided he doesn’t want to watch others live anymore but wants to start living.

Digital Liberation is choosing the real world
